HOW WE PROTECT AND USE CUSTOMER INFORMATION
1. We begin by safeguarding the security and integrity of customer information.
We are committed to protecting the security and integrity of customer information through procedures and technology designed for this purpose. For example:
We limit employee access to customer information to those who have a business reason to know this information. Employees are required to honor our code of conduct, which includes standards to protect customer confidentiality. They are subject to disciplinary action if they fail to do so.
We maintain policies and procedures covering the proper physical security of our retail store, website and all records.
Our physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards meet or exceed federal standards regarding the protection of customer information
We require outside companies (banks, etc.) who work with us to adhere to strict privacy standards through their contracts with us.
We use technological means (such as backup files, virus detection and eradication software, firewalls, and other computer software and hardware) to protect against unauthorized access or alterations to customer data.
2. We collect and maintain customer information as part of providing better service to you and enhancing your relationship with us.
In the course of serving you, we collect only the information you provide to us during the ordering and checkout process.
3. We do not share information with outside parties who may wish to market their products to you.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. However, this does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.
We only disclose the information we collect with the credit card companies and the gateway used to access them
We do not share or otherwise disclose any personal information, including your name, address, telephone, or email addresses with other organizations. Only specific Touch Emotional Support Animal Assistance staff and our authorized agents have access to personally identifiable information provided by visitors to our site.
We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses. Further to this, we may use customer identifiable information to investigate and help prevent potentially unlawful activity or if required by subpoena, search warrant, or other legal process. For example, we may be forced to disclose information to the government or third parties under certain circumstances, or third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications. We can (and you authorize us to) disclose any information about you to law enforcement or other government officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringements, or other activity that is illegal or may expose us to legal liability.
4. Browser information collected on our website:
As with all websites, Touch Emotional Support Animal Assistance analyzes our website logs to constantly improve the value of our website. We generate and assess a variety of reports that include page views, unique views, unique visitors, repeat visitors, frequency of visits, and peak-volume traffic periods. We do not use this service to gather, request, record, collect, or track any Internet users’ personally identifiable information.
5. Personalization of Content:
6. Privacy of our email lists:
Touch Emotional Support Animal Assistance maintains an email list for our Newsletter. Individuals must opt in to request to join our mailing lists. We do not share the email addresses on our lists with anyone outside of Touch Emotional Support Animal Assistance. We configure our list server software to refuse to divulge the email addresses of our list subscribers to anyone but authorized Touch Emotional Support Animal Assistance staff. Only Touch Emotional Support Animal Assistance staff and our authorized agents have access to personally identifiable information provided by visitors to our site.
7. Children’s privacy:
Because we care about the safety and privacy of children online, we comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA). COPPA and its accompanying FTC regulation establish United States federal law that protects the privacy of children using the Internet. We do not knowingly contact or collect personal information from children under 13. Our site is not intended to solicit information of any kind from children under 13 years old, and we have designed our sites to block our knowing acceptance of information from children under 13 whenever age-related information is requested. It is possible that by fraud or deception we may receive information pertaining to children under 13 years old. If we are notified of this, as soon as we verify the notification, we will immediately obtain parental consent or otherwise delete the information from our servers.
We use industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring and receiving financial data from our site. In addition, we have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss or misuse of information at our site that we have collected from you.

Tele-psychology/tele-medicine is the delivery of services using interactive audio or audiovisual electronic systems where the mental health professional and the patient are not in the same physical location. The interactive electronic systems used in tele-psychology/tele-medicine incorporate network and software security protocols to protect the confidentiality of patient information and audio and visual data. These protocols include measures to safeguard the data and to aid in protecting against intentional or unintentional corruption. However, these electronic systems may not comply with HIPAA, the federal medical privacy law.
Potential benefits include increased accessibility to a mental health professional care and convenience.
I have the right to withhold or withdraw my consent to the use of tele-psychology/tele-medicine at any time. The laws that protect the privacy and confidentiality of medical information also apply to tele-psychology/tele-medicine. I understand that the information disclosed by me during the course of my consultation is generally confidential, except under certain circumstances where disclosure is required by the law (i.e., where there is a reasonable suspicion of child, dependent, or elder abuse or neglect; and where a client presents a danger to self, to others, to property, or is gravely disabled). The computer technology used by the assigned mental health professional is encrypted to prevent the unauthorized access to my private medical information, but I understand that there are risks and consequences from tele-psychology/tele-medicine, including, but not limited to, the possibility, despite reasonable efforts on the part of the mental health professional, that the transmission of my information could be disrupted or distorted by technical failures; the transmission of my information could be interrupted by unauthorized persons; and/or the electronic storage of my medical information could be accessed by unauthorized persons. I understand that tele-psychology/tele-medicine services may not be as complete as face-to-face services. If the mental health professional believes that I would be better served by another form of services, I will be advised who can provide such services in my area. I understand that while email may be used to communicate with the mental health professional, confidentiality of emails cannot be guaranteed. I understand that I have a right to access my medical information and copies of medical records in accordance with HIPAA privacy rules and applicable state law.
I understand that I am responsible for (1) providing the necessary computer, telecommunications equipment and Internet access for my tele-psychology/tele-medicine sessions; (2) securing information on my computer; and (3) arranging a location with sufficient lighting and privacy that is free from distractions or intrusions for my tele-psychology/tele-medicine session.
Patient Consent to the Use of Tele-Psychology/Tele-Medicine
I have read and understand the information provided above regarding tele-psychology/tele-medicine. I hereby give my informed consent for the use of tele-psychology/tele-medicine in my care.
